The CASEarth DataBank Remote Sensing Data Engine forms a long-time sequence of Ready-To-Use (RTU) remote sensing data through the integrated processing and standardized processing of multi-source earth observation data. Based on the self-developed remote sensing big data engine DataBox, it provide users with efficient retrieval and access services for time series Earth observation data through a unified data interface.

The engine uses database cluster technology to achieve efficient metadata management, and uses an object-oriented storage system to store RTU data, so that massive data with original resolution and long-term sequence can be quickly stored and manipulated to form a virtual dataset; By supporting supplementing data quality fields in the virtual data set, all data quality can be quantified; It supports high concurrent reading and writing of remote sensing images, and users can visualize and render remote sensing images online in real time. Also it supports the direct calling and processing of remote sensing data in the data analysis environment; Supports the rapid injection and update of large-scale multi-source earth observation data; Users can efficiently retrieve the required data set based on the data set name or identification number, and filter the retrieved data set according to the time range, space range, cloud characteristics and other element conditions.

At present, DataBank provides long-time sequence land satellite data products of more than 400,000 scenes (12 products per scene, more than 4 million products in total) since the construction of China's remote sensing satellite ground station in 1986; A dynamic national map with a resolution of 2 meters based on data from domestic high-resolution remote sensing satellites such as Gaofen Satellite 1/2 and Ziyuan 3 Satellite; A dynamic global map with a resolution of 30 meters, made with domestic and foreign satellite data such as high-resolution satellites and land satellites; And sub-meter-level ready-to-use product sets in key areas. In the future, it will continue to join the Sentinel series in China and surrounding areas, and the domestic high-score series of full-time RTU products.
